Want to breathe new life into a sample you love? With the Samplesound AI app, you can easily generate variations of any sample using artificial intelligence. This lets you explore creative directions while keeping the core vibe of your original sound.
Here’s how it works:
Choose a Sample to Modify

Pick the sample you want to create a variation of.

For easier access later, you can add it to Favorites.
Open the Variation Tool

Click on the Actions menu (three dots) of the sample card.

Select Generate Variation.
This opens the Variation Settings window.
Customize the Generation (Optional)

Add a conditioning prompt to guide the AI.

Example prompts: “Deep Tech kick with reverb,” “Funky bassline with distortion,” etc.

You can also leave this field blank to let the AI improvise freely.

Set the Variation Amount

Use the Variation Amount slider (0 to 100):

0 = minimal change
-
100 = completely different variation
-

For this demo, we’ll keep it at 0 for a subtle result.
Generate & Wait

Click Generate Variation.

A blue blinking dot will appear next to the Generation icon, showing that the process is running.

You can continue using the app while the AI works.
Access the New Sample

When ready, you’ll see a toast notification or the blinking dot will disappear.

Go to the Generation section from the left menu to find your newly generated sample.
